    Spring in Full Force

Spring has arrived in full force. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here. Life got a little wild for a stretch, and when that happens, I tend to go radio silent. I turn inward. I don’t have the energy to share until I’ve sorted things out within myself first. Sometimes my energy feels…

A little bit of Madder Harvest in the garden

This weekend, the rain let up just enough for me to get out into the garden and finish pruning back the raspberries and blackberries. This is something I do every year—removing the old canes that have already produced fruit helps redirect the plant’s energy inward, down to the roots. Funny how that mirrors what’s happening…

    The Thinning of the Veil

There’s a hush in the air this time of year,a whisper that beckons me inward—to burrow into the soft den of my body,to nestle beneath layers of quiet and dark, and hibernate through winter’s long exhale. The older I become, the deeper this longing grows.I crave stillness, crave the cocoon, where meditation stretches like roots in rich…

    The Saturation of Fall Colors

The fall rains have begun, and it is glorious. I don’t have much to say this week—I can feel myself turning inward. It’s natural; that’s what this season invites us to do. I’ve started a new weaving project inspired by the vibrant fall palette. It’s a simple four-shaft design, so we’ll see how it turns…

    Hard Frost & Heartful Harvest

Well, it’s official—29 degrees this morning. I’m calling it a hard frost. The garden whispered its goodbye over the weekend. I spent time pulling potatoes and laying them out on the drying rack to cure. Some flowers had already bowed to the cold, so I removed them too. There’s a strange freezing fog that settles…

Working on a New Weaving Draft and Tripping Out in the Garden

I’ve been working on a new weaving draft during the cooler hours in the studio. It’s a 6-harness huck lace design I created using my Fiberworks software. I knew I wanted some variation in the warp and weft so the crossing of threads would stand out a bit more. I had two cones of 8/2…

    Solarizing the thistle and grasses

This is the time of year in the garden when everything is BIG—big and tall! It amazes me how, in winter and spring, everything is cut back or dies to the ground. But now, from late summer until the first freeze or snow, the sunflowers, willow, and herbs shoot up to 6–8 feet tall. They…

Long weekends for myself means lots of early morning garden time. It’s my favorite time—the “Golden Hour,” when the light is soft and everything feels cool, quiet, and gentle. We actually had quite a bit of rain over the weekend, which almost never happens in July. It was a welcome change, knocking down some of…

My weaving journey...

Spring is here and everything is blooming up nicel Spring is here and everything is blooming up nicely in my environment. My hands are dirty and signs of new life are sprouting.

I have been a bit quiet lately but all is well just planting seeds/ garden cleanup and finishing projects.

I am happy to say that I did finish this new weaving draft that is available on my Etsy page. There is a link above.

This draft was created from a name draft of " I Am Wrapped In Strength. I Feel Strong." It is woven in the beautiful Silk City Fibers Linen. It might be my favorite!

It is very lacey and works well for spring and even summer evenings. If your interested there is more information on my web page.

Other than that I feel quite a bit of willow weaving coming on...

Solar eclipse, year or the fire horse, so much is Solar eclipse, year or the fire horse, so much is happening…

Thought I might as well drop something of my own in as well.

This is my latest weaving draft I have dropped on my Etsy page. It started with a name draft of “I am wrapped in Peace. I feel at Peace.”

When life shifts and the world seems uncertain, the heart can grow unsteady.
In those moments, the quiet place within us can seem far away.
This shawl is an invitation back to that stillness- a soft reminder that peace is never lost, only waiting.

Check it out on Etsy or my website has more information. Links are above. Thank you 🙏

I’ve been moving through this series one draft at I’ve been moving through this series one draft at a time and sharing each one as I finish it. This latest draft, “I am Wrapped in Love. I Feel Loved.”, came together at exactly the right moment.

The world has gotten a little crazy with all the changes happening. One thing I think we can all agree on is that we need more love—love for your neighbor, your family, your community, and even for those you may not agree with.

So here is the latest draft. I’m choosing to spread love into the world, and I hope we can all try to do the same.
Check out the draft—it’s really lovely and makes a great shawl size.

There is more information on my website or here is the link to Etsy. Thanks ❤️
